Yellow Stone Concept for Bad Roads Complaints.
How to decongest traffic flow in the cities during the peak hours?
How to avoid children getting trapped in the borewells of the country?
IRRO's Solutions to Citizens' Problems

The Yellow Stone Concept is as follows:

  1. Every road should have a yellow stone every half KM. (or may be every one KM.). It should also have a Unique Serial No.
  2. Whenever, any person finds that the road is bad, he / she can phone the Road Inspector (In-charge) and tell him to repair it immediately.
  3. The Unique No. will give the location of the nearest yellow stone enabling the Road Inspector to quickly repair the road.
  4. To ensure that no one hides this information by pasting posters on the yellow stone, there should be a heavy fine in case anyone does it. (Say Rs.1000/- fine for anyone who does it)
  5. Also, if the mobile and home phone of the Road Inspector is switched off, an alternate number is given on which complaint can be lodged against the Road Inspector. Serious action must be taken by the authorities if it is found that the Road Inspector has switched off the phone.
  6. The idea of giving home phone is to ensure that there is pressure from the home front to repair the road as otherwise people will keep phoning at the home no.
